    The text block was sewn on a stub and attached to the rounded spine full leather case with a Fraynot and leather joint. Bound in full mulberry goat skin with letterpress printed leather back-pared onlays of bowler hats. Housed in a full leather lift off lid box resembling a bunker.This book was comprised of an alphabetical list of new (made-up) collective nouns including a bail of bankers; a deceit of Philip Larkins; a lot of winners; a meadow of Higgs particles.

    Text in 14pt Baskerville metal types and linocut illustrations were hand printed on concertina pages. The cover is bound in red goat skin with letterpress printed back-pared leather onlays alongside recessed onlayed lines. The book is housed in a full leather drop back box, which doubles as a display stand for the book and the Little Man bronze. The book is inspired by Danny's work on the issues of diaspora, challenging existing assumptions held toward migrants.

  • Studied Graphic Design on the Diploma Course at Joshibi University, Tokyo, Japan from 1989-92. From 1992-97 worked as a graphic designer for Les Main Publications, Japan. Graduated in 2000 with a BA Book Arts and Crafts from the London College of Printing.
  • Currently works as a designer/fine bookbinder at the Shepherds Bookbinders, London. Since 2000 she has collaborated with artist/printer Danny Flynn and completed several artist's books. They employ various traditional production methods such as fine bookbinding, hand tooling, as well as letterpress and screen-print. The duo's work has won several prizes including 1st, 2nd and IBAT Prizes from the Society of Bookbinders Competition and the Silver Prize from the Designer Bookbinders 3rd International Competition in 2017. Their work 'Theatre Dog' was included in The Royal Academy Summer Show in 2014.
