  • Studied painting and bookbinding at Belfast College of Art, then at the Central School of Arts & Crafts, Camberwell School of Art, London College of Printing and Goldsmith’s College, London, where she graduated with a First Class Honours degree.
  • Since 1963 she has worked as a freelance designer bookbinder and illustrator. She was Senior Lecturer in Bookbinding at Brighton polytechnic from 1980-1987 and a member of the Crafts Advisory Committee (now the Crafts Council) from 1975-79.
  • In 1990 she moved to Scotland to establish and run, with Sandy Mackilligan, the Corranbeg workshops, Argyll, for furniture design and short bookbinding courses.
  • Faith was elected a Fellow of DB in 1968 and awarded MBE for services to bookbinding in 1977. Her work is included in the Windsor Royal Library, the British Library, the Lilly Library, Indiana and various private collections in the UK and USA.
