Beautiful British Books

This is the catalogue that accompanied the British printing/bookbinding historical retrospective & DB exhibition held in Japan, 2006.

Included are images and descriptions of the 40 bindings by Fellows and Licentiates. This high quality 165 pp hardback catalogue is fully illustrated in colour, with general text mainly in Japanese but all captions for illustrations are bilingual Japanese and English.

Divided into two parts: Part One covers printed books from William Caxton to 18th Century; 19th Century illustrated books; William Morris and the Private Press. Part Two is the catalogue of the DB exhibition.
