Following the closure of many college courses in recent years, the society has established a series of ‘hands-on’ weekend workshops jointly with the Society of Bookbinders. Topics range from traditional and historical techniques to innovative structures.

The society also runs a series of evening lectures once a month from October to March at the Art Workers Guild, 6 Queen Square, London WC2.

Annual trips are arranged for members to visit libraries, book collections and exhibitions of interest within the UK and occasionally abroad. Details of any upcoming trips can be found here.
